Holy Fawn's latest album, Realms, is a captivating journey through a sonic landscape that is both ethereal and haunting. The band's unique blend of shoegaze, post-rock, and ambient music creates an atmospheric, dreamlike quality that is both mesmerizing and otherworldly.
From the opening notes of "Dark Stone," the album sets a mood of introspection and contemplation, with its slow, brooding guitar lines and haunting vocals. The album's centerpiece, "Arrows," is a stunning display of the band's ability to build tension and release it in a cathartic explosion of sound.
Throughout Realms, Holy Fawn's musicianship is on full display, with intricate guitar work and layered, textured soundscapes that create a sense of depth and complexity. The album's production is also top-notch, with every instrument and element of the music given the space it needs to shine.
Realms is a powerful and immersive experience that showcases Holy Fawn's unique vision and talent. It is a must-listen for fans of shoegaze, post-rock, or anyone looking for a sonic journey that is both beautiful and haunting.
This band is amazing live. The lead singer is really quite generous. He gave me a few free cd's and had a nice conversation with me. Really great guys.
Bury me, I want to feel the soil smothering. I'll be with you when you sleep. Let the green that grows tall and tall be our sanctuary. Leave a stone in place, remind you when you cannot find me.
I will always carry you in my heart. Pounding your fists against the walls. Somewhere no one else can reach inside. Flutter your wings inside my palms, I can feel you there.
We all want to be glowing, golden, precious lightning. Only the moon is watching us. A place where we can go to mend ourselves when we feel alone. (I will always carry you in my heart) A place where we can go to mend ourselves to feel unbroken. (Flutter your wings inside my palms, I can free you creature).
Bury me, I want to feel the soil smothering. I'll be with you when you sleep. Let the green that grows tall and tall be our sanctuary. Leave a stone in place, remind you when you cannot find me.
This track is soooo good. Glad that I found you guys, cant wait for new stuff. Death Spells is the best album I've discovered this year. Realms is great as well.
